2017 Vs 2018 rpm
Hi guys, something I recently learnt the 2018 models have increase in rpm..

'Peak power is 40.3kW @ 6,250rpm with maximum torque of 68Nm @ 4,750rpm. For 2018, the rpm limit has been raised to 7,500rpm to allow natural use of the engine performance into a higher rpm range'

Is this something we can upgrade from our 2017 models?

Hello Lukeinlondon! There are no updates but an additional control unit can be mounted to move the limiter higher than 1000 rpm.

Thank you! I struggle with the rpm currently as the power does not quick in till after approx 5k rpm which for city riding is unreasonable. Do you think the Rapid bike Evo will allow this to be adjusted or is it just the nature of the engine setup? I get frustrated with the bike when I want to ride sporty but happy when I want to cruise🤔

The xadv engine is a long-stroke engine with lots of electronics, so it's an engine that wasn't made to run at high rpm. Modifications to such an engine are not recommended because it would have very high costs.

Thank you. I think what I am enquiring about is the opposite. Getting power in lower rpm. How does RapidBike compare to Power Commander?

In theory it also improves a lot at low rpm
